Mental Health Policy

We have a duty of care to support the wellbeing of all those, Clergy and paid staff and Parishioners within our Church family.

To do this we must ensure:

We have a safe working environment.

We protect Clergy and paid staff from discrimination.

Carry out a risk assessment of the working environment. Looking at how help can be given to assist anyone who needs it within our Church.

Mental and physical health must be treated equally

We at St. Mary’s will ensure that the mental and physical welfare of those within our community is paramount in our Church.

That every possible assistance will be available if needed.

No discrimination will be evident within the Church family

If advice is needed about a problem, then the Chichester safeguarding team will be contacted.

Each person who works within this church community will agree to abide by this policy and the guidelines established by this church.
