Christian Aid Week: 12th - 18th May 2024

As summer approaches and we all hope for some better weather, another Christian Aid week is about to happen. It runs from the 12th till the 18th of May. Once again, we are asking for your support.

Collectively in 2023 Christian Aid week raised £90.6 million from church members which was used to help people who have suffered during some of the humanitarian emergencies which have happened as well as continuing with a long-term development programme in 27 different countries around the world.

Our previous contributions when added together with everybody else’s really has made a difference to some of the poorest people in the world.

With your help we would like to continue our support this year by using the envelopes being distributed in Church today.

The focus for this year is on supporting the poorest people with the cost-of-living crisis.  We are therefore asking for your help once again.

The traditional Christian Aid envelopes are available at today’s service for those who would like to use them. 

Please enclose your donation in cash or cheque, use Gift Aid if you are an income tax payer, and return the envelope at next week’s service or afterwards. 

For those that prefer to donate on line the process is very simple. Input Christian Aid week 2024 into your phone, iPad or computer using your search engine.

This will give you lots of options if you would like to donate in this way and also allow you to see some of the results from the past accomplished from the donations

you have provided in previous years.
