Could you be ‘Seeking The Silence’?

Following the success of the week of accompanied prayer in October 2018, St Mary’s West Chiltington are starting a new group 'Seeking The Silence’. This is a practical response to those who felt a regular slot for peace, stillness and prayer brought them closer to God.

‘Seeking The Silence’ will be hosted/led by Chris Williams and Rosemary Coleman and based in The Rectory in East Street each Monday in term-time between 7pm and 8pm.

The first meeting will take place on Monday 4 February 2019.

The format will be based on the passage from the Bible John 4:4, the meeting of Jesus and the Samaritan woman at the well at Sychar. This will lead into a period of silent prayer and meditation on the passage. Finally, the group will be invited to share their thoughts with each other arising from the two previous parts of the meeting.

It is important that those wanting to attend let Chris know before the meeting as there is a limit of 12 people that can be comfortably accommodated. We will also need to be very disciplined about starting and finishing on time so as not to disrupt a prayerful atmosphere.

What a lovely opportunity it could be for affirming each other at this stage in our spiritual journey.

Do join us as we embark.
